Q4: Does the MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac support converting AVCHD video to ProRes format for editing in FCP?
A: Yes. The program helps you convert AVCHD MTS/M2TS to Apple ProRes 422, Apple ProRes 4444 and other editable formats for Final Cut Pro. Below are useful tips:
(1) For Final Cut Pro 6, 7 or higer, the Apple ProRes formats are recommended here.

Q5: Why does the output file in Apple ProRes format have audio but video when playing?
A: Transcoding AVCHD to ProRes is limited to the Mac OS having certain software installed.
This includes one of the following:
*Final Cut Pro
*Final Cut Server
*Logic Pro
*Compressor
These applications install the proper ProRes component, which is need for ProRes encoding. So, you can't transcode Blu-ray to ProRes without installing one of the four apps.

Q6: Is it possible to edit my AVCHD footage in Final Cut Express on my iMac G5 non-Intel by using your program?
A: Sorry. Actually, the FCP supports real-time editing in AVCHD format for Intel processors only. So you need to convert AVCHD MTS/M2TS video to another Final Cut Express compatible formats for editing. The Apple Intermediate Codec (AIC) (*.mov) format is recommended here for its good performance in FCE.

Q7: Could I use your software to import my AVCHD video to my iMovie but Final Cut Pro for editing?
